Taking things for granted

Things I have realised how much we take for granted in the UK...

Off we go...

So Falcon camp is done (for me at least, it finishes properly tomorrow) and I am at my sister and brother-in-law's house. I am being looked after well, making sure I am rested before I fly tomorrow. Camp went really well, it is such a previlage to give a great holiday to young people who could use one. Thank you for praying!

I shall be flying out around 1.30 on Saturday (tomorrow) ariving just after 6am Kenya time on the Sunday. I hopefully we get on with work from Monday morning!

For those who don't know me, Hi. I am known mainly as Elanor, Ellie, El or Miss Clucas. I am Bob's daughter, and he have ended up becoming what he rather loftily calls the 'Africa correspondent for Godstuff'. I have been to Kenya three times before on various trips, often linked to the work of Mathare Community Outreach (MCO). I am a primary school teacher based in Leeds, working at Bradford Grammar Junior School, and a member of St George's Church.

Elanor's visit 2011

Eleanor clucas visited in the summer of 2011 (sandwiched between kingsmead and the CYFA holiday.) She went to teach at a secondary school in Mathare Valley slum, helping some of the lower ability children with study for their end of year exams. she was also sent with some money from godstuff to put into some projects around kenya,. You can read more about her travels on:
